And while that is great for them, it doesn't necessarily equate to happiness for anyone else. You end up with toxic advice from well-meaning friends who will say things like, "You're not getting any younger..." or "Just settle and marry [insert guy]. He seems okay." Wow, really? Just settle and marry whoever so I dare not end up single forever. Believe me, when some of us say we're ok with not being mothers and not being coupled up.

Some of us don't define happiness with kids and a partner. For some of us, who may have had less than awesome relationship experiences, perhaps we'd rather find our happiness in our careers, our education, our hobbies and friends. Not everything has to be about getting married and having babies.
