I can see that. You don’t make plans to meet, and as long as they can chat with you via text or email, they’re happy. I’ve had at least 2 female friends who have behaved this way — worse when they meet a new guy. Ultimately, I’ve gradually stopped hanging out with them (I guess you’d call that ghosting); didn’t return calls as often, ignored emails & texts. I think they eventually got the hint. Wasn’t like I didn’t give them fair warning — telling them how inconsiderate of my time they were when blowing me off at the last minute, or spending more time with their phone than with me when we’d go out. Actions have consequences, and their actions screamed they didn’t want to maintain a friendship. So I returned the favor.
