I’m not a fan of either, but I get what you are saying. And yet if this date had evolved to relationship status & cohabitation, he’d eventually learn about your [what you think are your] negative qualities [which they are not]. There is nothing wrong with disliking sports for example — you just have to find a companion who isn’t into them either (which, yeah, I get is difficult), or be content with being single. It took me a long time to accept that I was better off single than to be with the wrong wrong person. There really is nothing lonelier than to be sitting in a room with the supposed love of your life and know in your soul they are not. I’ve since found someone I can be myself with — behavioral warts and all.
