Just because we have the parts doesn't mean we're obligated or inclined to have children. We have a choice, just like everyone else. My choice to not have kids is not meant to be an affront or offense to people who did choose to have them. That is your business. You want kids. Blessed be. But I don't. And it would be nice if my choice was equally respected and not chastised or dismissed.

My decision to not have them (based on many valid reasons and because I'm living MY life and it would be my responsibility ultimately), isn't hurting anyone else. I'll note, I grew up in abject poverty, filth, and was a victim of years of domestic abuse. I've always known I didn't want to have my own children, some of the reasons being financial and others being that I've seen the evil of what other people are capable of and would never want my kids subjected to it. Otherwise, my reasons as a whole are not up for debate and are my business, because I'm the one who will have to shoulder it all, not you.

So you do you (everyone who has a negative opinion and assume all women should be mothers, whether we want to be or not). I'm gonna be over here minding my own business, respectfully.
