You should follow this post up with How to Date and Introvert, as many of the same rules seem to apply.

Example, when my now boyfriend attempted to “hit” on me he proceeded to comment on the fact that I had lost a noticeable amount of weight and my face had cleared up. He then bolted (guessing he was having a rather frustrated conversation with himself on his complete lack of ‘game’ and tact).

Background: 1. Wow. 2. I was 6 months post divorce, had joined a gym, and the lack of stress had lessened thus my cystic acne had finally subsided.

I took pity on the fact that he too is an awkward introvert and that it took a LOT for him to approach me; e.g. he must have really liked me to risk humiliating himself. Ultimately, I soft-lobbed a movie date invite — making it easy for him to ask me out — and we are now two homebodies who love to cook and Netflix binge between coding/writing/reading; tasks we do independently but in the same room together ;)
